About CFY-Philadelphia

CFY selected Philadelphia as our second expansion city in 2006. Since then we have hired a full staff, developed an honorary board, and built strong relationships with relevant Philadelphia organizations, including the School District of Philadelphia.

In June 2006, CFY launched its Take IT Home program in Philadelphia, serving more than 200 families from one school in the Southwest of the city. During the 2006-2007 school year, we served more than 420 families from three Philadelphia schools. This year (2007-2008), CFY-Philadelphia's goal is to serve 1,300 families from more than 10 Philadelphia schools.
