GET INVOLVED: Donate Computers

Thank you for your donations!

Your computer donations help CFY improve the home learning environment of school children from low-income families.

Computers for Youth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Upon receipt of your donation, we will send you an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes.

Computer Donor Levels

CFY maintains five levels of partnerships for our computer donors. To see a list of donors, click here.

Donation Requirements

CFY only accepts donations of

30 or more complete computer systems (CPU and monitor)

at a time. To find organizations that will accept smaller donations, donations of older computers, or donations from individuals, click here.

We will accept any of the following computer equipment:*

CPUs - Intel Pentium 4, Celeron, Duo Core, Centrino and AMD Processors (1.4GHz or higher)
Monitors - 15' and 17' CRT or LCD
Hard Drives - 40 GB or higher Hard Drives (will accept 20GB)
Printers - LaserJet or Inkjet
Servers - Intel Pentium 4
Computer Parts - All types CD/DVD-ROMs, Memory, Video Cards, Modems, NIC Cards
Computer Cables - Power cables, USB Cables, Parallel Cables, Monitor Cables
Storage devices - USB Flash Drives
Working LCD Projectors

*Equipment needs vary by city. Please check with the location nearest you for details.

Shipping

CFY will make arrangements to pick up donations of

30 or more

computers anywhere in or around the cities in which we work. To discuss shipping options, please contact us by email or call 212-563-7300 x110.
