About CFY-Atlanta

CFY successfully launched its Take IT Home program in Atlanta in May of 2007, and has since served over 2,600 low-income families in partnership with public middle schools throughout the greater-Atlanta area.  Annually, CFY-Atlanta serves approximately 800-900 low-income families, specifically within Atlanta Public Schools and Gwinnett County Public Schools.  CFY-Atlanta continues to conduct outreach activities in all greater Atlanta-area school districts, including APS, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, and Marietta City, with the hopes of expanding the number of school partnerships in various districts as well as families served over the next three years.

The momentum we have built in Atlanta has been tremendous.  We have an established local board of directors comprised of key community leaders.  We also continue building partnerships with local organizations that provide funding, in-kind donations, services and volunteers.
